4 out of 5 stars Surprise benefit   August 19, 2010

I bought this portable TV to be able to use it outside when there were programs I wanted to watch while enjoying fresh air on my deck. Living in the Washington area I have little problem receiving all the broadcast channels I want and they have not given me any problem when I take it outside to the deck. This is all with the external antenna.

The picture is great viewed straight on though don't get too far off to the side. The sound is OK given the size of the set.

The surprise came a little over a week after I received it. We had a storm-caused power failure that lasted over a couple of hours. After getting out all the candles I realized I could still use the battery-operated TV to see our evening programs. Given all the years I could not do that, this was a real treat. I haven't figured out a convenient way to store everything (set, antenna, power supply) and I worry about getting my fingers all over the screen while carrying it back and forth--some kind of collapsable handle would be a nice addition. All-in-all, I have been quite pleased with my purchase. It does exactly what I wanted and provided me that surprise benefit in the power failure.

2 out of 5 stars 1080i stations look good, 720p stations don't   August 18, 2010
Jeffrey Gates (Cleveland Ohio USA)
I was liking this TV alot until I tuned to a 720p station, ABC, FOX, etc. The picture on those stations shake badly and looks interlaced. It should not because they are progressive formats. The 1080i stations look fine. So if you like just watching 1080 stations, NBC, PBS, CBS, etc. Go for it. If you like the others, forget it.

In Santa Barbara I could only get 3 latin channels sporadically. Sent this unit back after three days of trying. Also build quality was cheezy. Complete waste of my time. Maybe works better in other areas of the country but not here.

5 out of 5 stars Excelente televisor...   July 4, 2010

5 out of 5 stars I love this TV, sharp image, good sound, nice features!   March 25, 2010

I received my TV today and must say that it arrived quickly, considering the shipping was free I was thinking it would take a week or so but it arrived in three days. The pleasure did not stop there. Upon unpacking it, I thought, wow, this is a sleek TV and nice and light weight! Then I attached the extra antenna (antenna for indoors with the magnetic stand) Plugged it in and did a channel search. In about a minute or 2, channel 2 popped up and a slew of other channels. Realize that I live in New York City and that reception is excellent here in general and that it should be noted that reception and picture quality are linked to the general reception in your area. I love the fact that it has two antennas, one is connected to top back (outside use), the other on a magnetic stand (indoor use), or you can simply hook it up to cable. I then unplugged the "indoor" antenna and used the one attached to the unit and it worked too! I also like the fact that because the stand is tightly attached, you can adjust the angle of the TV in increments. It has an internal rechargeable battery, standard headphone jack, a car charger, and audio and video input jacks. Because I bought this TV to mainly use with my Nintendo Wii on the go, I want to take a moment to describe the AV jacks. The AV cable that comes with the TV has small (standard earphone size) input jacks (attach to TV) and on the opposite end, three standard size male AV jacks (plug in to other device). This is fine for DVDs, VCRs, or other devices with AV inputs on the unit. However, most video game systems come with their own AV cable which has three male AV jacks at the end. The solution is buying three dual female connectors (about $4.oo total), then you can connect your game system to this TV. I have no complaints about this TV, it is better than I expected, and by the way, the Wii is rockin on it!
